Until the end of 2006 EU provided its assistance to Ukraine through TACIS Programme launched in 1991. For the period of 2007–2013 instruments of financial aid have been replaced by the European Neighbourhood Policy Instrument (ENPI). The ENPI introduced in 2007 provides general/sector budget support (and other aid instruments) in addition to technical assistance to ENP countries, whereas the TACIS programme only allowed for technical assistance. © European Union, 1995-2010 |
