On 17 November 2010 the Open Workshop No 6 ‘Adjustments to Energy Legislation. Near Future Legislative Needs in Ukraine. Part 2’ organized by the Project took place.
Experts from different institutions - mostly from legal fields – participated, including the Ministry of Fuel and Energy, the Ministry of Economy, NERC and NAER.
The Open Workshop continued discussing a series of legal issues that appear to be crucially important for Ukraine in the present period. Among the topics reviewed in the framework of this series of Open Workshops are: Ukraine’s accession to the Energy Community; what the Energy Community is and how it works; the most important legal requirements for the Ukrainian energy sector in the way of fulfilling obligations of the membership.
Further, issues relevant to the implementation process of EU / EnC acquis was discussed with the participants, with focus on the adoption of new or amended legislation in Ukraine to make it compatible with the acquis.
