Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

On 7 February 2012 the ‘Business and Energy English / Professional Skills Training Programme’, organised and financed by the EU Project ‘Complementary Technical Assistance to the EU-Funded Budget Support to Ukraine's Energy Strategy Implementation (ESBS)’ launched its activity.

This programme is based on successful experience of implementation and results of the first ‘Business and Energy English / Professional Skills Training Programme’. It is proved to be an effective capacity building tool for the staff and leaders of involved Ukrainian ministries and agencies. The Programme allows facilitating internal contacts between professionals of different institutions involved in sector budget support programmes and hence contributes to capacity building process for their successful implementation.

On 19 July 2011 about 60 Ukrainian civil servants received certificates for the successful completion of ‘Business and Energy English / Professional Skills Training’ programme.

The graduation ceremony gathered participants of the training programme from different ministries and agencies, such as the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, the National Electricity Regulatory Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation, NJSC ‘Naftogaz’ of Ukraine and NPC ‘Ukrenergo’.
